CATEADRIANAB INTERVIEWS WOLFCUB #3

MEET BRYDIE MACK: WOLFCUB CHRONICLES BLOGGING GIRL

1// Who is Brydie Mack?
I'm a 20 year old Adelaide girl, who has just moved to Sydney to start my 3 year Bachelor of Design,
majouring in Styling & Creative Direction at The Whitehouse Institute.
I'm first and foremost a stylist, however I'm aslo a control freak.
The first few shoots I worked on, I slaved my butt off to create some great looks.
However, when the photos were sent to me, they were completely wrong.
Not what I invisioned at all. So in the last 6 months, I've started doing my own photography.
Which allows me to have complete control over the aesthetic of my shoots!

In my wildest, craziest dreams I would love to creatively direct French Vogue or Aus Harper's.
Big ambitions, but why not?

2// Maybe you can describe your blog name.
My blog name derived from a period in my life
where I was wearing alot of (second hand) fur.
One night, my friend told me I looked like a little wolfcub...
and it kind of stuck.

3/ How did you get into fashionstyling?
My love for this industry began when I attended my first ever runway show at David Jones, to watch one of my friends model. It hypnotized me. loved the music, lights, models, and of course the clothes.
Her Mother saw how mezmerised I was, and that it had such a huge impact on me - so from then on, she kindly gifted me numerous tickets to her other shows.
This is when it really hit me, and I knew I had to somehow be a part of that world.

4/ What what was your aim when you decided to write your own blog?
I had a right-click-save addiction, and felt as if the photos were being wasted, just sitting on my desktop. So I decided I needed some sort of creative medium to share these findings. It was actually a friend who suggested I started my own blog, which gave me the kick I needed.

5/ Where did you get your inspiration and is there any person who inspires you the most?
I get most of my inspiration from other women. We human beings seem to be fascinated with one another.
And now, thanks to the internet, this fascination has gone to a whole new level. I regularly stalk Carine Roitfeld, Emanuel Alt, Daria Werbowy, and Anja Rubik. I love French women, and also the models who don't feed the media.
They keep their personal lives private - which makes them 10X more fascinating.

7/ Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully living overseas, either in Paris or NYC, working as Junior Fashion Director or Styling Assistant.
I know I'm going to have to work my way up from the bottom, I can't expect this to happen overnight.

8/ Daily reads? (websites/blogs)
Style By Kling, Columbine Smile, Fashion Gone Rogue, as well as my tumblr dashboard!
